BMW ConnectedDrive Services & Apps in the BMW X4.
Convincing, direct and multi-faceted are all attributes that apply to both the BMW X4 and the Services & Apps from BMW ConnectedDrive. This equipment provides you with the latest communication, information and entertainment possibilities. Which ones would you like to use? That’s entirely up to you.
CONNECTED DRIVE SERVICES.
ConnectedDrive Services provides the driver with a wide range of information, entertainment and service features on the road.
These include BMW Online, which gives access to current, localised information such as weather, news, online search and also office functions. It is also possible to assemble an individualised array of services such as webcams, parking information and travel or hotel guides.
This option also includes convenient, secure and unlimited access to smartphone apps such as BMW Connected. The equipment option ConnectedDrive Services offers many more such options, making every trip in a BMW a real driving experience.

CONCIERGE SERVICES.
Concierge Services from BMW ConnectedDrive gives you a taste of what it's like to have your own personal butler. At the touch of a button the driver is connected with the BMW Call Centre agents who are available as "personal assistants" while you're on the road.
Whether you're looking for a particular restaurant, the nearest ATM or an emergency pharmacy; a BMW Call Centre agent is there to help and can send address details directly to the navigation system, on demand.
The Concierge Services operate independently of the driver's mobile phone and are available at home and abroad round-the-clock, seven days a week at no extra cost. Concierge Services are only available in conjunction with ConnectedDrive Services.

BMW CAR HOTSPOT LTE.
With the Original BMW Accessory, BMW Car Hotspot, your passengers can also surf the Internet with their smartphones, tablets or laptops at any time during the journey. Installation of the hotspot is quick and easy thanks to the snap-in adapter in the central armrest.
Up to eight devices can receive high-speed Internet at the same time with the new LTE (long-term evolution) wireless communication standard. Wi-Fi in your BMW permits faster data transfer, improved reception, reduced electromagnetic radiation and extended battery life. It can also be used outside of the vehicle for up to 30 minutes.
REAL TIME TRAFFIC INFORMATION.
Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) provides the most up-to-date traffic information at all times. Precise details of the time and duration of hold-ups are relayed virtually in real time.
The data is drawn from such sources as movement profiles from the mobile phone network, the GPS data of vehicle fleets, smartphone apps and police reports. This data is analysed so precisely that it is possible to localise traffic congestion to the nearest few metres. This enables RTTI to provide information in real time on the current traffic situation on highways, main roads, country roads and numerous urban routes, and to recommend sound alternative routes. RTTI is only available in conjunction with ConnectedDrive Services and BMW Navigation System Professional.
BLUETOOTH OFFICE.
Bluetooth Office allows the driver to use time spent in the car more effectively. Via Bluetooth-enabled devices, daily work can be conveniently organised while on the go.
E-mails, appointments, tasks and text messages are shown on the Control Display or read aloud over the audio speakers. It is also possible to display calendar entries from your compatible via BMW Apps. A list of all compatible mobile devices is available at www.bmw.co.za/bluetooth
