EXTERIOR DESIGN.
Experience the light, the air and the flowing lines in the BMW 6 Series Convertible. Together with the standard-feature LED headlights and the daytime running lights above the air inlets, the expressive, forward-slanting kidney grille ensures an unforgettable front view.
When the vehicle is viewed in profile, it’s the side mirrors with direction indicators as well as the long wheelbase that catch the eye immediately.
With its muscular wheel housings and a powerful, solid stance, the rear offers a marked contrast to the dynamic front. The view is characterised primarily by the L-shaped rear lights, striking tailpipe finishers and additional horizontal chrome trims. Particularly when the soft top is open, the message is clear, even from a distance. This is the most exclusive convertible of all BMW models.
ADAPTIVE LED HEADLIGHTS.
Adaptive LED headlights with integrated low-beam and high-beam functions automatically adjust the light distribution to suit the driving speed, thereby dynamically illuminating the road ahead.
In addition to indicators and daytime running lights, it includes the Adaptive headlight function with variable city and highway light distribution, cornering lights, as well as BMW Selective Beam (anti-dazzle High-beam assist), which automatically switches between the low and high-beam lights. That allows the system to offer optimal road illumination under all conditions.
In the dark, the optional Adaptive headlights allow the driver to see far into curves as soon as the wheel is turned. To improve short-range visibility, the cornering lights are automatically activated as soon as the turn indicator is switched on or the steering wheel is turned – even when the vehicle is at a standstill. The Adaptive headlights ensure optimal illumination of nearby surroundings, thereby significantly increasing active safety.
BMW Selective Beam allows the driver to leave the high-beams on constantly, facilitating optimal visual conditions at night. The system monitors the presence of vehicles in front or oncoming traffic and adjusts the high-beam lights to avoid dazzling other road users.
20" LIGHT ALLOY WHEELS MULTI-SPOKE STYLE 616.
The optional 20" light alloy wheels Multi-spoke style 616 with mixed Runflat tyres are a sporty highlight. And not just optically − thanks to their excellent stability and low weight, they ensure noticeably improved handling.
The intricate pattern consisting of thick and thin spokes also guarantees an optimal air supply to the brake system.
SOFTTOP.
The completely automatic soft-top features outstanding acoustic and thermal insulation. It lends the convertible a coupé-like silhouette, and the ability to lower its rear window provides excellent airflow through the interior.
For even more fresh air, the soft-top folds away at the push of a button. Even when driving at speeds of up to 40 km/h, it can be opened in 19 seconds and closed in 24 seconds at the touch of a button.
Even with a closed soft-top, passengers in the convertible can enjoy a refreshing open-air driving experience as all five windows can be lowered at the same time while the soft-top remains closed, to protect against direct sunlight, for example.
INTERIOR DESIGN.
The elegant, sporty exterior design continues seamlessly on the inside of the BMW 6 Series Convertible. In the Design Pure Experience package, soft, exclusive 'Nappa' leather with extended contents in Cognac/Black, fine-wood trims in 'Fineline' brown and generously dimensioned surfaces harmonise to create a spacious, distinguished interior.
Important driving-related information is provided by the high-resolution, free-standing Control Display with glass casing and galvanised surround. The centre console with Black Panel look as well as optional ceramic embellishers for the iDrive Touch Controller and gear selector add a premium touch to the ambience. Functional compartments and drinks holders at the front and in the centre armrest at the rear offer numerous storage possibilities.
COLOURS & MATERIALS.
The high quality of the material with its fascinating finish is what gives the BMW 6 Series Convertible its exclusive character. The colours also contribute to the distinctive quality of each vehicle.
Several paint finishes are available to choose from for the exterior − from the classic and elegant Cashmere Silver through to the sporty Mediterranean Blue. Perfectly matching the elegance of the interior is exclusive 'Nappa' leather with extended features in Cognac/Black or Ivory White/Black. It envelopes the upholstery and refined decorative strips such as the 'Fineline' brown fine-wood trim add even more structure to the surfaces.
The BMW Individual range meets the need for exquisite luxury. Equipment elements such as the BMW Individual fine-wood trims or the full leather trim in fine-grain 'Merino' add refinement to the interior. BMW Individual offers several additional paint finishes in matt or metallic for a distinctive exterior appearance.
BANG & OLUFSEN HIGH-END SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM.
Thanks to its new Dirac Dimensions signal processing system, the Bang & Olufsen high-end surround sound system creates an open and lively atmosphere with exceptional acoustics.
The incredible sound is created by 12 loudspeakers with a 1,000 W output, incl. a centre speaker that automatically extends from the dashboard. The centre speaker is a mid-range speaker and is equipped with Acoustic Lens Technology, which ensures consistent sound quality on all seats. The system offers the choice of two sound settings. "Studio" for flawless sound and "Expanded", which creates the impression of a larger acoustic space. The audiovisual experience is rounded off with the illumination of individual loudspeakers.
